Did you know this?
Aponissos is essentially a private islet connected to Agistri by a small bridge, resulting in the creation of two beautiful bays on the right and left. The feeling of literally walking and swimming from island to island is very special. It is the hidden secret of the island, and one of the hidden secrets of Argosaronicos as a whole. The designation "blue-green" for the waters of this beach is not an exaggeration. Their additional advantage is that in the first meters they are quite shallow, an element that makes Aponisos friendly for small children. The wonderful seabed makes diving in Aponissos a real pleasure, while you can also rent water bikes and canoes.
The islet of Donoussa is located southwest of Agistrio, just half a nautical mile opposite Aponisos. At the top of the island there is the chapel of Prophet Ilias, built in the 18th century. Walls are preserved on the island. Near the shores of the island there is the wreck of the cargo ship "Avantis III", which took place on November 19, 2004. There is special marine life in the wreck, which is today a marine attraction.
From the "Syntagma" or "Monastiraki" Metro stop, take the red line, get off at the "Athina" stop, where there is a connection with the Hellenic Train to Corinth.
From Piraeus you take the Hellenic Train to Corinth.
